Meet Esteban Diaz — Tattoo Artist | Black and Grey Traditional & Woodcut Line Work

Esteban Diaz is originally from Ags, Mexico, and moved to Huntsville from Austin, Texas, in 2023. He joined Gilded Moth Tattoo & Piercing as an apprentice in 2024, bringing with him a diverse range of experiences and artistic influences that continue to shape his approach to tattooing.

Esteban specializes in woodcut and engraving-inspired work as well as stylized traditional tattoos. He enjoys creating bold, character-filled pieces with strong linework and a timeless feel, while incorporating his own artistic style into each design.

When he’s not at the shop, Esteban enjoys spending time with friends, thrifting for cool finds, and embracing his favorite role: being a fake cowboy. His creativity, personality, and unique perspective all find their way into his work, making each piece distinctly his own.
