GILDED MOTH TATTOO
- 01Right here, babe. Gilded Moth Tattoo offers professional body piercing at our studio. Come for the new piercing, stay because you suddenly realize your ear has room for at least three more.
- 02Yes and No. Appointments are recommended so we can dedicate enough time to your piercing, jewelry selection, placement, and aftercare. But we do accept walk ins
- 03The total cost depends on the piercing and jewelry you choose. Some jewelry options cost more than others, particularly solid gold and decorative pieces. Pricing can be confirmed when booking or selecting your jewelry.
- 04We offer high-quality body jewelry suitable for professional piercing, including implant-grade titanium and solid gold options. Jewelry availability and styles vary.
- 05Yes. Gilded Moth carries solid gold piercing jewelry in a variety of designs. Our piercer can help you select jewelry appropriate for your piercing, anatomy, style, and budget.
- 06No.
- 07Everyone experiences pain differently, but most piercings are very quick. Your piercer will explain the process beforehand and make the experience as comfortable as possible.
- 08Healing time varies significantly depending on the piercing. Some piercings heal within a few months, while cartilage and other piercings can take considerably longer. Your piercer will explain the expected healing period and aftercare.
- 09Follow the aftercare instructions provided by your piercer. Generally, you should keep the area clean, avoid unnecessary touching or rotating the jewelry, and use only recommended aftercare products.
- 10Once your piercing is sufficiently healed, jewelry can often be changed. However, some piercings require downsizing or professional jewelry changes during healing. We’re happy to help with jewelry changes.
- 11Initial piercing jewelry often needs extra length to accommodate swelling. Once swelling has subsided, your piercer may recommend replacing it with a shorter post. Proper downsizing can improve comfort and reduce irritation.
- 12Piercing irritation can happen for several reasons, including pressure, movement, improper jewelry fit, snagging, sleeping on the piercing, or aftercare issues. Instead of removing the jewelry or treating it yourself, have your piercer evaluate it.
- 13Avoid sleeping directly on a healing piercing whenever possible. Pressure can cause irritation and may affect the angle of the piercing.
- 14It’s best to avoid exposing a fresh piercing to pools, hot tubs, lakes, and other bodies of water during the initial healing period. Ask your piercer for recommendations specific to your piercing.
- 15Yes. We can help plan jewelry combinations and piercing placements (ear mapping) that work together based on your existing piercings, ear anatomy, personal style, and budget.
- 16Absolutely. Bring us the ear and we’ll bring the ideas. We can help plan piercing placement and jewelry combinations based on your anatomy, existing piercings, personal style and budget. Whether you want minimal and delicate or more gold, immediately, we’re here for it.
- 17Because getting tattooed or pierced should actually be a good time. Gilded Moth is a boutique tattoo and piercing studio in Huntsville filled with talented artists, professional piercing, and really good jewelry. We care a lot about good work, good people, and making you feel comfortable while you’re here.
